Spring Pitty Party 2009 Empty Spring Pitty Party 2009

Lamby's fields! Always the perfect spot to pitch a tent (if you know what I mean).

But before we get to that, let’s set the scene!

Everyone had turned up! Even Tyson (Medium) Gosling along with two of his friends, and did they have one heck of a night!
C.P and Jay had both grabbed their pimped out speakers and rigged them up to C.P's iPhone. Rumour was you could clearly hear the music from the other end of Scalm Park! Lamb supplied the party with a feast of bread and meat along with an entire car full of fireworks!

All the tents had been humorously thrown up by 6pm, so it was time to start the barbecue! Fire was eventually created using the "usual" method (think singed eyebrows). And so the 96 founders all ran off to setup the fireworks, aside from Lee (Big) Gosling who was blessed with the all important role of hitting the barbecue with a steel pole.

The guys returned and many laughs were had as we eagerly sat around the barby; drinking and waiting for our eats to cook.

Little Gos claimed illness and was escorted home by Big Gos, who fortunately only had one bottle over the course of 2 hours (lightweight).

The hours rolled by and darkness descended upon the fields. Firework time.

A beautiful display lit up the night sky. Though if you ask Lamb, all he will say is "I didn't see them, I was more worried about that firework C.P had lit right next to me".

Everyone then migrated to the bonfire, where Medium Gos and his friends proceeded to drink a little too much vodka, uh oh.

After staggering around a while, whilst muttering slurred phrases along the lines of "I haven’t drunk enough yet, I'll tell you when I’ve drunk enough, it’s not now", Medium Gos was eventually ordered to go to bed by Big Gos. It seems he decided to sleep in his friend's two-man tent, which led to a rather awkward situation as the two whom had intended to sleep there were a couple.

With the amount they drank, the logic behind it being a two man tent, and one being female, made perfect sense. Medium Gos was unfortunately assigned the job of "sleeping mattress" when the two of them... Yeah.

A shame, I know. But it was shortly after that I myself retired to my tent. So the remainder of this story lies in the beer blurred memories of the rest of the group.

The morning after, I heard many rumours. Apparently Flavel was carrying naked ladies around, and called his mom at 6am to get a lift home. Sounds like a busy night to me!

A pet dog passed away, though we claim that the firework display and its departure were purely coincidental.

Moral: Don’t fall asleep in someone else's tent. ...Unless you’re into that sort of thing.

    Thanks for reading!
